Only 20 kilometres along a flat tar sealed road and you come to the many beaches of Toscana. The popular Gulf Of Follonica has fine-grained sand beaches with shallow water. Further North in the Baratti \ Rimigliano region some of the coast is rocky and has wide stretching sand beaches. Even in the high tourist season it is quiet here.
Rain is sparse and a mild Mediterranean climate is dominant.
Cycling is great from March onwards and from May till October you can bathe in the Tyrranian Sea.

There are varied opportunities available to explore the intriguing natural environment. Toscana Guesthouse is a great base from which to embark on cycling tours of differing degrees of distance and difficulty. Tracks, paths and roads lead along flat areas of the coast or through the hilly countryside.
Many of the areas of Toscana are easily accessible. Such as the island Elba and the hot thermal springs Calidario and Bagni di Petriolo. Places of historical interest that are close by include Populonia \ Baratti, Massa Marittima and Siena.

The guesthouse complex is made up of several small, simple cottages built in the style of the Italian countryside. The houses and rooms all have separate entrances and own ensuite with shower. They are furnished with a dinner table, comfortable beds and benches for sitting. Overall, our cottages offer beautiful roomy spaces which call for relaxation and rejuvenation.
